FAQ
Questions
Where do I buy a bottle?
On Shopify. This site does not take payment. When the shop is connected, each product shows a Shopify Buy Button, or a link straight to the store. Set the shop address in data/site.json.
Is a material page a formula?
No. A page says what a material is: its name, its place in the wear, its office in a composition, and what it sits beside. It is a library card, not a recipe.
What is an office?
Heart, Modifier, Blender, or Fixative. The heart carries the idea. A modifier turns it and is used in traces. A blender is quiet mass. A fixative holds the span. Place in the wear (top, heart, base) is a different fact, and both are listed.
How does a new material get a page?
Add an object to data/materials.json. The atlas, the page, the sitemap, and the title tag are built from that file. The README at the root of the project has the fields.
Can I search by place, odor, or office?
Yes. The atlas searches name, Latin name, origin, and odor. Filters narrow by family, place in the wear, and office. The address bar keeps the filter, so a result can be shared.
Will the design stay like this?
This is the working library: cream paper, Cormorant Garamond, EB Garamond, violet, and antique gold. The fuller design can replace the pages without moving the data files.
