Evaporation span, not a pyramid slogan
A perfume pyramid is a useful sketch and a bad filing system. Bergamot really does leave before sandalwood. Orris does not behave like a citrus just because someone once drew it in the middle band. Span is a measured habit: how long the material is still itself on a blotter, and how long it is still itself on skin.
The atlas keeps both facts. Place in the wear says when you meet it. Span says whether it rushes or stays. A fixative is not “a base note” by slogan. It is a material that holds the others so the opening is not the whole story.
When you add a material, write the span in plain words. Years, a few hours, still there tomorrow. That sentence is more honest than a triangle.
